ÖZET
Türkiye’de
orta dereceli okullarda tarih eğitimde iktisadi konuların
islenmesinde pek çok sorun göze çarpmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile
öncelikle liselerde genel tarih eğitiminin bir parçası
olarak iktisat tarihinin öğretiminde yaşanan bu tür aksaklar
tarih eğitimine has bir bakış açısıyla belirlenmeye
çalışılmıştır. Bu sorunların iktisadi faaliyet-zihniyet
ilişkisinin kavranamamasından kaynaklandığı düşünülmektedir.
Bundan dolayı Ülgener basta olmak üzere Sayar, Genç ve
Tabakoğlu’nun çalışmaları dikkate alınmıştır. Özellikle
Ülgener’in iktisadi faaliyetlerin zihni arka planını
açıklama iddiasını tasıyan çalışmalarındaki bulguları bu
makalenin ana malzemesini oluşturmuştur. Çalısma sonunda;
lise tarih dersinde yer alan Osmanlı Devleti’nin klasik
dönemindeki iktisadi yaşamının Osmanlı toplumunun zihniyet
dünyasıyla ilişkili olarak islenmesinin bu sorunları
çözebileceği belirtilmiştir.

ABSTRACT
Many
problems are observed in teaching of economy subjects in the
scope of history education given in high schools in Turkey.
In the scope of this study, such problems experienced in
teaching of the “history of economy” as a part of general
history education -particularly in high schools- are tried
to be detected from a perspective specific to history
education. These problems are believed to result from the
failure to comprehend the relationship between economic
activities and mentality. Therefore, particularly the study
conducted by Ülgener and the studies by Sayar, Genç and
Tabakoglu are taken into consideration. Especially the
findings obtained in the studies of Ülgener, which are
claimed to explain the mental background of economic
activities, constitute the main data of this study. At the
end of the study; it is stated that teaching of economic
life in the classical period of Ottoman Empire -a subject to
be taught in the scope of high school history lesson- in
relation with the mental world of Ottoman society can
eliminate these problems.
