EĞİTİMİNDE TİPOGRAFİ

ÖZET
Eğitimin temeli olarak nitelendirdiğimiz okul öncesi
eğitimin önemi, artık günümüzde tartışılmamaktadır. Ancak
eğitim şekli ve materyalleri her zaman tartışmaya açık bir
konu olacaktır. Yaratıcı tipografi çalışması ile okul öncesi
çocuklarına öğrenmeyi eğlenceli kılmak, görsel ve fonetik
tasarımlarla harfleri tanıtmak ve okumayı kolaylaştırmak
amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmalara konu olan
nesnel grupların, çocuğun bildiği, gördüğü ve bakmaktan zevk
aldığı şeyler olmasına özen gösterilmiştir. Yaratıcı
tipografi, iki yılık bir çalışma ürünüdür. İlk çalışmalar
Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, GSF Grafik Bölümünde
yapılmış ve yine aynı üniversitenin çocuklar evinde test
edilerek sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Çocuklar evinin
öğretmenleri tarafından yapılan denemeler, çok olumlu
sonuçlar vermiş ve çocukların son derece ilgi gösterdikleri
rapor edilmiştir. Çalışmanın devamı niteliğindeki ikinci
aşaması ise Uludağ Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler MYO Grafik
Programında yapılmış ve sonuçları aşağıda gösterilmiştir.
Çalışmanın üçüncü ve son aşamasında ise, yaratıcı tipografi
çalışmalarının, sayısal font tasarımlarına dönüştürülmesi ve
kullanıma sunmak olacaktır.

ABSTRACT
Today, the
importance of pre-school education which is described as the
basis of education is not discussed any more. However, the
state of education and its materials will always be a
subject opened to debate. With creative typography studies,
it is aimed to make learning entertaining for the pre-
school pupils, to introduce letters with phonetic images and
to facilitate reading. By this aim, it is cared that
objective groups which are the subjects of studies are the
things that is known, seen or liked by the pupils. Creative
typography is a product of two years of study. First studies
are applied in GSF graphic department of Çanakkale Onsekiz
Mart University and results are evaluated in the pupil house
of the same university. Experiments made by the teachers of
the pupils house end with very positive results and it is
reported that children are really interested in it. Second
stage described as the continuity of the study is made in
the MYO graphic program of Technical Institute of Uludağ
University and the results are shown above. The third and
the last stage of the study is transforming the creative
typographical studies into numerical font images and present
them into use.
